Distribution and Legal Status

This page records the distribution and ownership status that the current repository can substantiate. It is not an EULA, Website Terms of Use, Privacy Notice, trademark authorization, or legal advice.

Currently verifiable status

• Captain Who was selected as the public product name on 2026-09-02. That naming decision does not by itself prove trademark clearance, registration, or ownership in every target market.
• MyCopilot Contributors in package metadata is a generic label. It does not identify a contracting party, privacy operator, software copyright owner, or signing-certificate holder.
• First-party source code in this project is marked UNLICENSED. This is not an open-source license and grants the public no right to copy, modify, or redistribute it.
• The repository does not currently establish a real publisher, copyright owner, brand owner, website operator, official domain, launch regions, or commercial model.
• No support, security, privacy, or legal contact has been confirmed and delivery-tested.
• 1.0.0 in build metadata is a target version. It is not evidence of authorization, signature, notarization, or publication by a real publisher.

The current source tree, CI artifacts, preview website, and third-party repackaging must therefore not be treated as an official public release.

Privacy-text boundary

Data and Permissions is a factual description of the current desktop application code, not a legal Privacy Notice. Without a real operator, launch regions, domain, and processing facts, it is not possible to state the applicable law, data-subject rights, retention periods, cross-border processing, or contact channels honestly.

Model Providers, search and image services, MCP Servers, and websites that users connect may process data under their own terms. A future first-party Privacy Notice must distinguish the desktop application, website, distribution infrastructure, and those third-party services. “Local-first” cannot substitute for the real data flow.

Scope of third-party notices

Licenses in Third-Party Software apply only to the corresponding third-party materials. They do not change the UNLICENSED status of first-party code, establish a complete first-party chain of title, or grant brand rights, a user license, or a warranty.

The single fact set required to unlock formal texts

Only a person authorized to represent the publisher can provide and approve these facts:

1. the target-market trademark-clearance conclusion and evidence identifying the logo author and transfer of rights;
2. the publisher's real legal names in Chinese and English, country or region of registration, required registration number and address, and the software copyright owner, brand owner, website/data operator, and signing-certificate holder;
3. the official domain controlled by the publisher, launch countries or regions, intended user types, and commercial model;
4. real, tested support, security, privacy, and legal contacts, plus any support portal and status page;
5. the actual configuration and processing behavior for website accounts, payments, non-essential Cookies/analytics, desktop telemetry, and crash reporting;
6. an EULA, Website Terms, Privacy/Cookie Notice, Trademark Policy, Vulnerability Disclosure Policy, Support scope, and version lifecycle approved by an authorized person.

While any item remains empty, the corresponding formal text, public download, and claim of “official support” must remain disabled.
