Tutorials

These tutorials are not feature lists. Each one is a complete task you can follow from beginning to end. If you are using Captain Who for the first time, complete the first two in order, then choose the remaining tutorials as needed.

  1. Understand an existing project: Have the Agent build a reliable project map first.
  2. Implement a small feature: Complete the full loop of analysis, changes, testing, and human review.
  3. Research online and write a report: Practice checking sources and delivering a file.
  4. Use multiple Agents in parallel: Delegate independent work to subagents.
  5. Connect a local MCP Server: Add external tools for the Agent.
  6. Create a Workspace Skill: Turn a stable workflow into a reusable capability.
  7. Create a scheduled automation: Run a task repeatedly on a schedule.

Principles for every tutorial

  • Start with a small, verifiable task to learn the workflow before increasing permissions or workload.
  • Put the completion criteria and prohibited actions in the task instead of providing only a topic.
  • When an approval dialog appears, verify the path, command, source, and scope of impact first.
  • The Agent's written explanation is not evidence of completion. Files, test results, source links, and run history are.
  • Prepare version control or a separate backup before working with important data.
