Captain Who Documentation
Captain Who is a local-first desktop AI work assistant. Within the permissions you grant, it can understand projects, work with files, call tools, and delegate parts of complex tasks to multiple agents.
Choose a reading path
First-time users
Start with the User Guide, then work through installation, model configuration, and your first task in order. If you want to begin hands-on, go directly to Getting Started.
Find a specific feature
Go to the Capabilities Guide to learn about tools, skills, MCP, multi-agent collaboration, browser automation, and scheduled automations. If something goes wrong, see Troubleshooting.
Understand agent technology
Start in the Learning Center for plain-language explanations of the agent loop, tool calling, context management, and multi-agent collaboration.

About these docs
These docs describe only behavior that can be verified in the current software. Interfaces and capabilities may differ between versions. When you receive an installer, also review the version information supplied with it by the trusted distributor. When using third-party model, search, or MCP services, you must also follow the applicable provider's terms, pricing, and data policies. There is currently no verified official download or support channel; preview content must not be treated as a published legal or service commitment.
